These lesser-known towns in the Czech Republic are picturesque and perfect and they are not far from Prague. Most sites are catered to visitors of Prague and while there is nothing wrong with that, these towns are just exquisite. You will find old towns, castles, places to take pictures and find souveniers. 

Český Krumlov – a picturesque town with a Renaissance Castle which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Hluboká Castle – a place fit for a royal wedding.

České Budejovice – a fairly small city with a population of around 100,000 inhabitants. The central part of the city – and the best area to stay in – is the beautiful Old Town.

Jindřichův Hradec – a town with a beautiful castle and a stunning old town.

Červená Lhota Castle – a beautiful castle surrounded by water.

Lipno nad Vltavou – a small town located on the banks of Lake Lipno.

Třeboň – a spa town with a beautiful castle and a large pond.

Schwarzenberg Canal – a canal with beautiful views and a great place for cycling.
